1. Controller
The controller (administrator of personal data) is:
IF MEDIA, s.r.o., with its registered office at Pplk. Pľjušťa 929/31, 909 01 Skalica, Slovak Republic, Company ID (IČO): 43 946 682, Tax ID (DIČ): 2022540696, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court Trnava, Section: Sro, Insert No. 21449/T (hereinafter the „Controller„).

Processing is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Act of the Slovak Republic No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data.
2. Summary (what is important to know)
- The Application does not require registration or sign-in and does not collect personal data as your name, e-mail, phone number, location, contacts or photos.
- The Application uses Google (Firebase) tools for usage statistics, crash reporting and delivery of push notifications.
- The Application does not display advertising and Controller do not sell your data.
- Some data is processed via Google services, which may take place outside the EU (see Art. 6).
3. What data are processed, for what purpose and on what legal basis
3.1 Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics for Firebase)
- Data: in-app events (e.g. opening an article, viewing the leaderboard, opening a partner, clicking quick links, opening a notification), screens viewed, approximate device type and operating system version, and the advertising identifier (Advertising ID / AD_ID).
- Purpose: measuring and improving the use of the Application (aggregated statistics), not targeted advertising.
- Legal basis: the user’s consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Consent may be withdrawn at any time (see Art. 7).
3.2 Crash reporting and stability (Firebase Crashlytics)
- Data: technical information about an application crash (error type, stack trace, device model, operating system and application version, device state at the time of the crash) and an installation identifier assigned to the device.
- Purpose: diagnostics and bug fixing, improving stability.
- Legal basis: the Controller’s legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3.3 Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
- Data: the device registration token (FCM token) needed to deliver notifications and information about the topics subscribed to (e.g. news, livestream, results).
- Purpose: sending notifications about the tournament, news and results.
- Legal basis: the Controller’s legitimate interest, or user consent expressed by allowing notifications; notifications can be turned off at any time in the Application or device settings.
3.4 Loading content from the web
- Data: when downloading articles, the programme, partners and other content from the golfslovakopen.sk server, technical data (e.g. IP address, request data) is processed on the server side as standard.
- Purpose: displaying current content in the Application.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in providing content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3.5 Third-party content (YouTube)
- The livestream is played via YouTube (Google). Playback may be subject to YouTube/Google’s own privacy policy.
The Application does not collect user personal data as: name, e-mail, phone, precise or approximate location (no location permission), contacts, photos, files or audio.
4. Sharing data with third parties
- Controller do not sell data and do not pass it on for third parties‘ separate marketing purposes.
- The service providers acting as processors are, in particular, Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) and the hosting provider of the golfslovakopen.sk website.
- Data may be disclosed to public authorities where required by law.
5. Retention period
- Analytics data: retained for the period set in Google Analytics for Firebase (2 months by default; event data can be set up to 14 months).
- Crash reports: generally up to 90 days (Crashlytics setting).
- FCM token: valid while the Application is installed; it expires upon uninstallation or rotation.
6. Transfer of data outside the EU
Google services may process data in third countries (e.g. the USA). Transfers are safeguarded by appropriate measures under the GDPR (standard contractual clauses, or an adequacy decision – the Data Privacy Framework). For details, see Google’s privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/).
7. Rights of the data subject
Under the GDPR, the user has the right: of access to the data, to rectification, to erasure („the right to be forgotten“), to restriction of processing, to data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent at any time. The user also has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, with seat at: Galvaniho Business Centrum II, Galvaniho 7/B, Bratislava(www.dataprotection.gov.sk).
How to exercise control directly:
- Analytics / advertising identifier: reset or limit it under Settings → Privacy → Ads on an Android device.
- Push notifications: turn them off in the Application or system settings.
- Ending processing: uninstall the Application.
- GDPR requests: by e-mail to the contact listed in Art. 1.
8. Children
The Application is not intended exclusively for children and does not knowingly collect data of children under 16 years of age.
9. Changes to this policy
The Controller may update this policy anytime without prior notice. The current version is always available at https://golfslovakopen.sk/privacy-policy-of-the-mobile-application/ and in the Application. Users will be reasonably informed of any material changes.
