Penati Slovak Open recognizes another wild card holder – Bence Bertenyi

The Penati Slovak Open 2026 tournament recognized another wild card holder. For the ninth time, participation in the most prestigious professional golf tournament in Slovakia was contested during the Lomnica Open 2026 tournament, which was held at the Black Stork Golf Resort in Veľká Lomnica. This long-standing tradition continues in the tenth anniversary Penati Slovak Open, which will take place from September 6 to 9, 2026 at the Penati Golf Resort.

For many participants, winning a wild card was a great motivation. Becoming part of the tenth anniversary of the tournament, which is writing the history of Slovak professional golf, is an extraordinary opportunity for every amateur player.

The Black Stork Club Championship in Veľká Lomnica has a tradition of more than 22 years. Since 2018, thanks to the cooperation of the organizers of both events, the best player in the tournament qualifies directly for the Penati Slovak Open. This unique cooperation was established on the initiative of the organizers of both tournaments and, despite various challenges, continues successfully to this day.

This year’s winner of the tournament was Bence Bertenyi, who earned a wild card into the Penati Slovak Open after shooting 69,68,69 / 206 shots. Hungarian player Bence Bertenyi is next in line, joining Zoey Sopfia Pápay and Czech Alex Zavřel from the Slovak Amateur Championship by Kooperativa 2026 at Sedin Golf Resort.
