René Bergendi won the first qualifying tournament of the Penati Pro Am Classic


The opening qualifying tournament of the Penati Slovak Open 2026 series in Slovakia became a clear case for René Bergendi, who also won the title of best amateur player of the Penati Pro Am Classic 2026 tournament.

Bergendi performed well over the two days of competition, shooting rounds of 68 and 70 to win with a total score of -6 on the Heritage and Legend courses at Penati Golf Resort.

Andrej Chochol finished second, five shots behind the winner.

The qualifying tournament opened a series of events leading up to the season’s highlight – the international Penati Slovak Open 2026 tournament, which is part of the CPG International Series and is among the most prestigious professional golf events in Slovakia. We congratulate René Bergendi on his victory and wish him much success in the rest of the season.

 

The next qualification round in Slovakia will be held at Sedin Golf Resort, where the Slovak Amateur Championship is being played.
