Ryder Cup European Development Trust to support Slovak Open Chip & Putt 2026!
The Penati Slovak Open is not just about professional golf. For several years now, we have been trying to create an event that will inspire the next generation of players.
That is why the Slovak Open Chip & Putt children’s tournament, designed for the youngest golfers U10, will also take place during the Pro-Am tournament on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
This project also caught the attention of the organization behind one of the most prestigious team events in the world – the Ryder Cup. Through the European Development Trust program, they decided to support our concept of connecting professional and children’s golf.
What appealed to the Ryder Cup most about the project is the unique connection of two worlds. On the one hand, professional players fighting for the Penati Slovak Open title, on the other hand, children taking their first steps in golf. Thanks to this, young players can experience the atmosphere of a major professional tournament from close proximity and meet players they normally only watch from afar.
A new feature for the 2026 edition will be the active participation of professional Penati Slovak Open players in the Chip & Putt event. This will give children even closer contact with professional golf and an unforgettable experience from the entire tournament week.
Support from the Ryder Cup European Development Trust will also allow us to take the event to a higher level, create better conditions for participants and open the tournament to a larger number of children.
The cooperation did not come about by chance. Over the past years, we have implemented several joint activities and projects aimed at the development of golf. When we presented the idea of the Slovak Open Chip & Putt as a natural part of the Penati Slovak Open, it immediately caught on. The result is a partnership that helps build the future of golf and at the same time brings professional sport closer to the youngest.
Because every professional was once a child standing on the first tee.
